Ghanaian musician Fantana has threatened legal action against Benjamin Gyewu-Appiah, a National Communication Team Member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), over allegations levelled against her.
Benjamin Gyewu-Appiah, during a discussion on Onua FM, claimed that the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has been lavishly spending state money on Fantana.
According to him, Ablakwa had allegedly embezzled money meant to evacuate some Ghanaians from South Africa and spent it on Fantana, adding that the minister and his wife should be jailed for their alleged actions.
“What pains me is that he has given all the money he took to Fantana. Do you know his girl is Fantana? He has taken all the stolen money to Fantana.
“Ablakwa is a serious thief, and no matter what, he would go to jail. He and his wife will go to jail because his wife was the one who bought the tickets,” he alleged.
Following Gyewu-Appiah’s claims, Fantana, in an X post, threatened legal action against him.
According to the musician, Gyewu-Appiah’s claims are false and that he has no right to use a national media platform to spread what she described as false allegations.
“I’m going to sue you for lying on me!!!!! A bunch of old useless fools sitting on the radio spreading lies! God punish you, useless men!” Fantana said.
