    Statement Below:

As the NDC constituency elections process across the Central Region enters the final week ahead of the polls on Saturday, 24 October 2026,

I wish to commend all aspirants and their supporters for the peaceful manner in which they have conducted their campaigns so far.

This is a testament to our collective commitment to the values and principles of our great party. I therefore urge all aspirants, their campaign teams, and supporters to sustain this peaceful atmosphere throughout the remaining days of the campaign and on election day.

Our ambition to lead must never be greater than our commitment to the party. We must remember that the unity, stability, and corporate image of the NDC are shared responsibilities that transcend individual ambitions.

I also appeal to the managers of the electoral process to uphold the principles of fairness, transparency, impartiality, and accountability. A credible and transparent election will strengthen the confidence of delegates and deepen trust in our internal democratic processes.

To our revered delegates, the kingmakers of this process, I urge you to approach the ballot with wisdom, maturity, and a clear vision for the future of our party. The choices you make on Saturday will shape the leadership and direction of our constituencies for the next four years. Let your decisions reflect the values of competence, commitment, unity, stability, and development.

Let us compete with respect, disagree without hostility, and emerge from the polls as one family, ready to work together for the progress of our party.

I wish all aspirants the very best as they approach this important moment in our party’s democratic journey.

May the process be peaceful, the outcome credible, and our party emerge stronger and more united.
