Residents of Agogo and Pataban have expressed concern over the deplorable condition of the Agogo–Pataban road, calling on the government and relevant road authorities to take urgent steps to rehabilitate the stretch.
The road, which serves as an important link between the two communities, has reportedly become a source of worry for motorists, commuters and residents who depend on it for their daily activities.
Residents say the poor condition of the road makes movement difficult, particularly during the rainy season, when potholes and muddy sections can worsen travel conditions. The situation, they fear, could affect the transportation of goods and agricultural produce, as well as access to essential services.
Some residents have also raised concerns about the possible damage to vehicles and the additional transportation costs associated with using the road. They believe the situation is placing an unnecessary burden on commuters and traders who rely on the route to go about their daily business.
The residents are therefore appealing to the government, the Department of Feeder Roads and other relevant authorities to prioritise the road and ensure that the necessary rehabilitation works are carried out to improve accessibility and safety.
They have stressed that a properly maintained road would not only ease movement between Agogo and Pataban but also support economic activities and improve the living conditions of people in the affected communities.
The residents are hopeful that their concerns will receive the needed attention and that concrete measures will be taken to address the situation.
