Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has expressed his desire to stage a joint concert with dancehall stars Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy, describing the proposed musical event as one of his long-held dreams.
The award-winning rapper made the revelation during a discussion on Onua Showtime on October 18, 2026, where the possibility of bringing the three music heavyweights together on one stage was raised.
According to Sarkodie, he is ready to participate in the concert at any time, even at very short notice, highlighting his enthusiasm for the idea.
“I’m very ready. If you say tomorrow, I will even be present. It would be so fun,” Sarkodie said, expressing his excitement about the prospect of sharing the stage with his colleagues.
The show’s host, Nana Ama McBrown, suggested that the proposed event could be called the ‘S Concert’, a concept that would bring together three of Ghana’s most influential musicians for what could become a major moment in the country’s entertainment industry. <Cite refs={[“turn421436news0″,”turn421436news1”]}/>
Sarkodie, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy on one stage
The prospect of a joint concert featuring Sarkodie, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy has the potential to attract massive attention, given the musicians’ individual fan bases and their contributions to Ghanaian music.
Sarkodie is widely celebrated for his rap catalogue and influence on Ghanaian hip-hop, while Shatta Wale has built a strong following through his dancehall music and energetic performances. Stonebwoy, meanwhile, has established himself as a leading figure in Afrodancehall and reggae.
Bringing the three together would offer fans an opportunity to experience their different musical styles in one event.
However, the proposed concert would require careful planning, particularly regarding logistics, security and crowd management.
During the discussion, singer and media personality Mimi Andani expressed concern that the event could attract such a large crowd that it might disrupt normal activities in parts of the country.
Entertainment critic Kwesi Ernest also suggested that organisers would need to make adequate security arrangements, including deploying substantial personnel to manage the respective teams and the expected audience. <Cite refs={[“turn421436news0″,”turn421436news1”]}/>
Will the dream become a reality?
Although Sarkodie has expressed his readiness to make the concert happen, no official date, venue or confirmed arrangements involving all three musicians have been announced.
His comments have nevertheless renewed interest in the possibility of a major musical collaboration that could bring together fans of the three artistes.
Beyond the performances themselves, the concert could provide an opportunity to celebrate Ghanaian music, promote unity among artistes and demonstrate the industry’s capacity to organise large-scale events.
For now, fans will be watching to see whether Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy share Sarkodie’s enthusiasm and whether the proposed ‘S Concert’ will eventually move from an exciting idea to a confirmed event.
