The First National Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kojo Fosu Boadu, widely known as Kojo Bamba, has described the party’s Second National Vice Chairman, Henry Nana Boakye (Nana B), as his boss despite their new positions in the party.
Bamba said their long-standing working relationship would not change because of their new roles, dismissing suggestions that the two have issues between them.
“People think we have issues, but we don’t, and we won’t have any issues,” he said in a viral video sighted by GhanaWeb on October 17, 2026.
His comments come amid claims that Bamba previously worked as Nana B’s driver and bodyguard.
Nana B, in an earlier interview, dismissed those claims, explaining that Bamba was responsible for operations and security when he served as National Youth Organiser and later as National Organiser of the NPP.
“I have heard a lot of narratives that he was my driver; he was my bodyguard. He was never my driver. He was never my bodyguard,” he earlier said.
Nana B also said he had appointed Bamba to oversee operations and security for the party’s national youth wing before assigning him similar responsibilities at the office of the National Organiser.
He also expressed confidence in Bamba’s ability to contribute to the NPP’s efforts to return to power in the 2028 general elections.
Bamba was elected First National Vice Chairman at the party’s national executive elections held in Kumasi on October 3, 2026. He polled 3,116 votes to defeat 12 other candidates.
