More details have emerged about the death of veteran Ghanaian actor and media personality Seth Kwame Dzokoto, who reportedly collapsed while participating in a live morning radio programme on Owass FM in Tarkwa on October 22, 2026.
According to the host of the station’s morning show, Prince Kwaw Gyimah, the actor drove to the station on his own and joined the discussion on the programme, Oman Nkosuo, when the incident occurred.
Speaking in an interview with Adom FM, Prince Kwaw Gyimah explained that the programme started at about 8:45 a.m, shortly after they noticed that Kwame Dzokoto was feeling unwell, forcing them to suspend the entire discussion.
“Kwame Dzokoto was on Oman Nkosuo on Owass FM in Tarkwa. He drove himself to the studio, and we started the discussion at about 8:45 a.m. Shortly afterwards, we realised he was becoming unwell, so we had to suspend the programme,” he recounted.
He said they immediately transported the veteran actor to a hospital in an attempt to get him medical attention.
However, Dzokoto was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.
“We rushed him to the hospital, where the doctor pronounced him dead on arrival,” he said.
Dzokoto’s death comes weeks after he spoke publicly about concerns surrounding his health following an appearance that raised questions among some members of the public.
In September 2026, the actor dismissed rumours about his death and acknowledged that he had been dealing with health problems, including high blood pressure and diabetes.
He also discoosed that he had travelled abroad for surgery, which was supported financially by business mogul Ibrahim Mahama.
