Rapper Sarkodie has revealed that dancehall artiste Shatta Wale is highly knowledgeable in technology and personally develops the applications he uses for his projects.
Speaking in an interview on Lawson FM on October 22, 2026, Sarkodie mentioned that the On God hitmaker has programming and coding skills that many people may not know about.
According to Sarkodie, Shatta Wale does not rely on a team of developers to create his applications but handles the technical work himself.
“What people don’t know about Shatta Wale is that he’s very tech-savvy. All the apps you see him run, he does them by himself. He doesn’t have any team somewhere who does them for him,” he said.

Sarkodie further explained that Shatta Wale personally works on his computer to develop his ideas, adding that the dancehall star sometimes reaches out to him to discuss new concepts.
“He programs everything; he knows the coding and everything, so he sits by his computer and creates them. Whenever he has an idea, he calls me for us to discuss it,” he shared.
The rapper also disclosed that his conversations with Shatta Wale rarely centre on music or happenings in the entertainment industry.
Instead, he said their discussions about ideas and other interests have helped him feel connected to the dancehall musician beyond their careers as artistes.
“We barely even talk about music and things that go on in town. That’s when I feel connected to him to an extent,” Sarkodie added.
