First Vice Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Chairman Bamba has assured the party that their ballots will be protected.
He noted that the recent National Democratic Congress (NDC) constituency elections, which saw ballot boxes being snatched, among other incidents, sent a signal of what the NDC intends to do during the 2028 elections.
However, with him as the NPP’s first National Chairman, he assures the party’s followers of maximum protection for ballot boxes across the country.
“I want to assure you that as executives, we are certain that we will protect all ballot boxes. We saw what happened during the NDC constituency elections and we know certainly that this is what they intend to do during the 2028 elections but we won’t make it happen,” he said while speaking at the birthday celebration of the party’s national chairman.
He said the party executives have started working to win back the NPP’s support but urged members present to speak to disgruntled party members.
“Let’s ensure that we speak to those who worked with us to bring Nana Addo to government but have left the party for one reason or the other. We, as executives, are working to ensure victory in the 2028 elections. However, we will need every member on board to achieve this,” he said.
