Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has explained that he does not force musical collaborations, insisting that music happens naturally when the time is right.
Speaking in an interview on Lawson FM on October 22, 2026, the rapper particularly noted that whenever he has a song he believes would suit Stonebwoy, he reaches out to him to discuss the possibility of working together.
“If I have a song that I want to put Stonebwoy on, I will call and inform him about it,” he said.
Sarkodie disclosed that he has several unreleased songs with Stonebwoy but believes collaborations should not be rushed simply to satisfy public expectations.
According to him, music is spiritual, and artistes should allow the creative process to unfold naturally rather than feel pressured to work together.
“I have a lot of songs with Stonebwoy, but those things, we don’t force it. Whether people think there’s featuring or not, music is spiritual,” he shared.
Sarkodie also spoke about his relationship with Shatta Wale, revealing that although the two musicians are on good terms, it took some time before they recently collaborated on music.
He explained that the absence of frequent collaborations does not necessarily mean there is a problem between artistes, as the right song and timing are important factors in bringing them together.
“Shatta Wale and I are cool, but it took a while for us to do music together recently. We don’t force music, so when it comes, then we do it,” he added.
