The Ho Central Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Franklin Gedzia has called on party members and supporters to uphold unity, peace and discipline as the party prepares for its regional elections comes Saturday 24th October, 2026.
Franklin Gedzia speaking in an interview with Adom News Correspondent Odehyeba Owusu Job urged aspirants, delegates, and other stakeholders to place the collective interest of the party above personal ambitions, stressing that the strength of the NDC lies in its unity and shared commitment to its ideals.
The chairman emphasised the need for peaceful conduct throughout the electoral process, cautioning members against actions and utterances that could create divisions, fuel tensions, or undermine the party’s internal democratic processes.
Franklin Gedzia noted that internal elections should serve as an opportunity to deepen democracy, strengthen party structures, and consolidate the bonds among members rather than create factions that could weaken the party after the polls.
The chairman further encouraged all aspirants and their supporters to conduct their campaigns with mutual respect, fairness, and tolerance while accepting the outcome of the elections in good faith.
He also called on party executives, delegates, and electoral officials to ensure that the process is transparent, credible, and peaceful to promote confidence in the party’s leadership selection process.
According to Franklin Gedzia, maintaining unity before, during, and after the elections would be crucial to strengthening the party’s organisational base and positioning it for future political engagements.
He appealed to all members to demonstrate maturity and commitment to the NDC’s collective vision, reminding them that the party’s long-term success depends on their ability to work together despite differences in opinion or leadership preferences.
The call comes as the NDC prepares for its regional elections, with party members expected to play their respective roles in ensuring a smooth and successful electoral process.
The chairman reiterated that peace and unity must remain the guiding principles of the elections, urging members to protect the party’s image and preserve the spirit of comradeship beyond the polls.
The chairman also outlined some job creation opportunities for the youth should the NDC party win the 2028 elections, and he is also optimistic that the NDC will win the 2028 general elections.
