Ghana international Kwasi Sibo is expected to make his debut for Libyan side Al-Swehly in the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League against Tunisia’s Espérance Sportive de Tunis.

The midfielder, who joined Al-Swehly during the summer transfer window, missed the first round of the competition but is expected to feature when the Libyan club hosts Espérance on Sunday.

Kick-off is scheduled for 17:00 GMT, with the return leg set for Saturday, 24 October, in Tunisia.

Al-Swehly will be seeking a positive result at home to strengthen their chances of progressing to the group stage of the 2026-27 CAF Champions League.

Sibo’s experience is expected to be important as the Libyan side attempts to overcome the Tunisian giants and secure a place among the continent’s leading clubs.

The former Real Oviedo midfielder could also return to the Ghana national team for their upcoming double-header against Somalia in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Ghana are scheduled to face Somalia at the Accra Sports Stadium in November as they look to revive their qualifying campaign after defeats in their opening two matches against Côte d’Ivoire and The Gambia.
