A Ghanaian woman who was among those evacuated from South Africa has expressed gratitude to the government for facilitating her return to Ghana.

According to the woman, she and other Ghanaian women experienced prolonged periods without sexual intimacy during their stay in South Africa.

She made the remarks while speaking to the media during an engagement organised by the evacuees to address controversies surrounding the evacuation process.

The woman claimed that many of the Ghanaian women who were in South Africa had struggled to maintain intimate relationships and were now enjoying greater sexual satisfaction following their return to Ghana.

“The government has done well by bringing us back here because the men there were not having any intimate affairs with us, so we were starving for sex for a long time.

“Our fellow Ghanaian men did not want us. They preferred South African women because, according to them, those women are understanding and do not mind having sex whenever a man proposes it.

“But we Ghanaian women like to be pampered and tend to make men work harder for our affection. Because of that, we could not have sex.

“South African men also do not like giving money to women, but a Ghanaian man will give you money. That is the situation,” she said.

Another woman, who was off-camera, was also heard expressing support for the remarks.

The interviewee reiterated her appreciation to the government for facilitating her return to Ghana, adding that she was now enjoying her intimate life in the country.
