Flagbearer of the opposition, New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has expressed confidence in the leadership of the political party.
He says John Boadu, as General Secretary, brought the NPP to power in 2016, and he believes that he will do the same in the 2028 elections.
“I am very confident that winning the chairmanship for the NPP is a sign that this party is going to come back to power in 2028. John has done it before when he was General Secretary; he brought us back to power, and I believe by the Grace of God he will bring us back to power,” the flagbearer said while speaking at the birthday celebration of John Boadu.
He acknowledged that the success they are envisaging will not be possible if the party and its members fail to work.
He urged them to commit to the party’s cause and stay united, because only in unity can they fight to win the battle ahead.
“We all have to work very hard and keep the unity in this party. Unity will take us to victory. Let us stay together and make sure we win for the sake of Ghana,” he added.
